PCR Retail Boot Camp

PCR Retail Boot Camp

Get fit for business in 2012

PCR Retail Boot Camp, powered by Innergie, is an exciting new conference and expo for the UK PC and IT channel.

The market has been hit with some of the worst conditions it's ever faced, global recession, austerity measures and natural disasters have all contributed to make life harder for the IT market. But it's not all bad: new technologies such as cloud computing, new business models like business analytics and new product categories such as tablets are all helping to push demand in new and exciting directions.

Now is the time to share new ideas and forge new relationships, and that’s what the PCR Retail Boot Camp is all about.

It is free for retailers and resellers to attend and will provide a day of conference sessions, expo showcases and networking – all designed to help dealers improve their business. Plus, all dealers will receive an Apple TV as a FREE GIFT.

We have a number of speakers lined up for the event, including BBC Breakfast business presenter, Penny Haslam; The Retail Champion, Clare Rayner; Micro-P head of independent retail, Mike Harris and GfK business group director, Carl West.

A panel session covering the thorny topics of online retail and social networking is scheduled. It will feature speakers including Mark Banfield (Autotask), Shane Redding (Cyance), Steven Lightfoot (Pudsey Computers) and Phil Meacham (Synaxon) and will be chaired by Adam Harris (CompTIA's vendor and distribution manager).

Another session, entitled 'Why you should leave PC sales to Tesco', will discuss how dealers can cope with the increased competition at retail, and will include Carl West (GfK), Craig Hume (Utopia Computers), Donna Demain (Retail Profiling) and Alicia Shepherd (VIP) as speakers.

In addition, there will be a series of ‘Break-Out Sessions’ during the afternoon, giving distributors and vendors the opportunity to present technical or service sessions with smaller groups of dealers.

Meanwhile, VIP Computers has an After-Show Drinks Reception at the fabulous Chiswell Street Dining Rooms, which will provide networking opportunities to round off the day’s events.
